Stage 2 High Lift Truck Camshaft

With 212/218 duration, .600/.600 lift, and a 112 LSA, this cam is ideal for builders wanting a smooth idle, near-stock drivability, and noticeable gains without requiring a stall converter or rear gear change.

Dyno And Drivability

Texas Speed reports this cam gained 62.2 horsepower and 29.1 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel on an otherwise stock 5.3L engine tested on their in-house SuperFlow 902 engine dyno.

This camshaft has a 1200-5800 RPM power band and is known for a smooth idle with nearly stock-like driving characteristics, making it a great stealth cam option for street-driven trucks and SUVs.

Supporting Mods

  • Desired compression ratio: 9.5:1 and up
  • Recommended springs: PAC 1219 or TSP / PAC dual valve springs
  • Aftermarket stall converter: Not needed
  • Upgraded rear gear: Not needed

Why Choose It

  • Excellent upgrade for trucks wanting more power without losing street manners
  • Lobes are designed to be beehive and dual spring friendly
  • Great choice for a small, stealthy truck cam that can stay subtle with the right exhaust

Important Notes

This cam is especially well suited for 4.8L and 5.3L truck engines that want to keep the factory torque converter while still gaining meaningful power.

As with any camshaft upgrade, proper tuning is required to achieve the advertised drivability and performance characteristics.

Note:
The TSP Stage 2 High Lift Truck Camshaft is a strong option for builders wanting a smooth-idle, stock-converter-friendly truck cam with real power gains across Gen III and Gen IV LS 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L applications.
