HEMI Cam Specialists

HEMI Cam Tune Files for RAM, Charger, Challenger, 300, Durango and Jeep Builds

Remote cam tuning for supported 5.7L, 6.1L, and 6.4L HEMI combinations. The correct path depends on the vehicle, year, PCM, camshaft, MDS and VVT hardware, transmission, converter, exhaust, intake, fuel system, and forced induction.

Choose by outcome

Three tune paths. No blurred promises.

Vehicle selections stay consistent while the delivery, revision level, compatibility rules, and customer responsibility change.

Controlled starting point

Base Tune

Designed for startup, idle, and initial drivability. Includes one revision and does not promise the final refinement of the full custom path.

Why this page exists

Choose by platform and hardware—not by HEMI badge

RAM trucks, LX/LC cars, Durango, and Jeep applications can use different controller, security, transmission, and torque-management strategies even when the displacement matches.

5.7L HEMI

Camshaft, MDS hardware, VVT configuration, intake, exhaust, converter, transmission, fuel, and PCM status.

6.1L / 6.4L HEMI

Vehicle-specific cam, displacement, transmission, airflow, fuel, security, and supporting-hardware details.

Boosted HEMI

Hellcat-blower conversions and other forced-induction builds use the Custom Remote Tune path with complete injector and fuel-system data.

HEMI cam calibration

Match the vehicle platform—not only the HEMI displacement.

RAM trucks, Charger, Challenger, Chrysler 300, Durango and Jeep applications can use different PCM, security, transmission and torque-management strategies even when they share a 5.7L, 6.1L or 6.4L badge. The correct cam tune starts with the exact year, vehicle, engine, PCM and stock read.

Build areaInformation requiredWhy it matters
CamshaftManufacturer, part number/cam card, springs, pushrods and installed timingDefines airflow, idle and valvetrain requirements
MDSRetained, tune-disabled or mechanically deletedCalibration must agree with the installed lifters and hardware
VVTRetained, limited, locked or deletedPhaser control must match the mechanical configuration
DrivetrainTransmission, converter/clutch, gear and tire sizeChanges idle load, torque response and drivability
Fuel/airInjectors, fuel type, intake, throttle body, exhaust and boostDefines the supported airflow and fueling path

Naturally aspirated cam swaps

Confirm valve springs, pushrods, lifters, phaser hardware and mechanical timing before flashing. Resolve exhaust leaks, vacuum leaks, misfires, low fuel pressure and sensor problems so the first datalog represents the calibration rather than a mechanical fault.

Boosted HEMI combinations

Hellcat-blower conversions, turbo systems and other boosted builds require the Custom Remote Tune path unless an exact product explicitly states support. Include compressor, pulley/boost, injectors, pump, fuel type, MAP/MAF strategy, intercooling and transmission details.

What the product groups mean

Remote Tune products use the vehicle’s stock read and the workflow stated on the product. Downloadable .HPT products are exact-match Compare and Copy references without custom remote revisions. Physical HEMI parts, MPVI devices, Tune File Bundles and internal checkout add-ons are intentionally excluded from this page.

Build Your Tune

Select the vehicle and camshaft, choose the tune type, then add only the modifications supported by that path.

Tuning device required: You must have an HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3, or MPVI4, or an EFI Live device supported for your vehicle. J.R. Jones Racing LLC does not currently support RTD or TDN devices. RTD/TDN support is planned for the future. Check device requirements. Need an interface? You can add an HP Tuners MPVI4 to your tune at the bottom of this builder if you would like to purchase one through J.R. Jones Racing LLC. Vehicle credits are sold separately.

Questions specific to this page.

Every structured answer below is also visible to customers. No hidden FAQ content is added for search engines.

Can one HEMI cam tune work for RAM, Charger and Jeep?

No. Platform, PCM, security, transmission and operating-system differences must be matched.

What cam information is required?

Provide the manufacturer, part number or cam card plus installed springs, pushrods, lifters and timing hardware.

Do I need to state MDS status?

Yes. State whether MDS is retained, tune-disabled or mechanically deleted.

Do I need to state VVT status?

Yes. State whether VVT is retained, limited, locked or deleted.

Can a Hellcat-blower conversion use an instant file?

Only if an exact product explicitly supports the full hardware and fuel system; otherwise use Custom Remote Tune.

Will tuning fix a HEMI tick?

No. Diagnose exhaust, valvetrain, oiling, ignition, fuel and mechanical causes first.

Are HEMI parts displayed?

No. J.R. Jones Racing LLC does not list physical HEMI parts for sale on HEMI engine pages.

Which devices are supported?

HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3 or MPVI4 and specifically supported EFI Live devices. RTD and TDN are not currently supported.
