Agreement and Store Operator

J.R. Jones Racing LLC is an owner-operated business operated by Jason Jones. In these Terms, “J.R. Jones Racing LLC,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to J.R. Jones Racing LLC. “You” and “customer” refer to the person using the website or placing an order.

By using this website, submitting information, creating an order, or purchasing a product or service, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from checkout. If you do not agree, do not use the website or complete the purchase.

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a purchase agreement. If you place an order for another person or business, you represent that you are authorized to do so.

Products and Service Levels

The service level shown on the product page and selected in the tune builder controls what is included. Product names that sound similar do not create identical support or revision rights.

Physical parts, software, interfaces, credits, licenses, shipping, and paid add-ons are separate unless the product page explicitly states they are included.

Equipment, Licensing and Eligibility

• You must have an HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3, or MPVI4, as applicable to the selected product.
• RTD/TDN devices are not currently supported unless a product page expressly states otherwise.
• You are responsible for the correct software, cables, internet access, vehicle licensing, credits, PCM unlock or security requirements, and a stable battery maintainer.
• A vehicle appearing on a supported list does not guarantee that every controller, operating system, transmission, engine swap, fuel system, forced-induction setup, or modification is supported.

The tune builder intentionally excludes unmapped combinations. Do not select a different year, model, or engine to force checkout. Contact us before ordering if the exact combination is unavailable.

Orders, Vehicle Information and Payment

You authorize the charge shown at checkout and confirm that your billing, contact, vehicle, and build information is accurate. The Year, Make, Model, Engine, Transmission, Drivetrain, Cam, Tune Type, Mods, blower selections, VIN, and VIN details submitted with an eligible tune order form part of the purchase record.

Prices can change by platform. The builder may select a different primary Shopify product after the year, make, model, and engine identify the correct GM or HEMI pricing family. Paid add-ons remain separate line items with their own prices.

We may cancel, refund, place on hold, or request more information for an order that is incomplete, incompatible, appears fraudulent, uses inaccurate vehicle data, or cannot be fulfilled safely or lawfully.

Custom and Base Tune Portal Workflow

Eligible Full Custom and Base Tune purchases use the private J.R. Jones Racing LLC Tune Portal. Keep your stock read, build information, files, datalogs, feedback, and revision history inside the portal so the work remains tied to the correct order.

• Upload a clean, untouched stock read plus complete and accurate build details.
• Do not share a private portal link, access code, tune file, or customer credential.
• Follow requested logging and feedback instructions. A revision cannot address a concern that is not communicated or logged.
• We work carefully and in good faith to help within the service purchased. Full Custom includes up to five revisions; Base Tune includes one revision. This is not unlimited troubleshooting, mechanical repair or a guarantee that every issue will be resolved. Accurate build details, usable datalogs and customer feedback are needed for useful refinement.
• Reaching the included revision limit does not guarantee that every issue or operating condition will be resolved. Additional work or a changed build may require a separately agreed service. Repairing a mechanical problem does not automatically require a new tuning purchase; any new charge must be discussed and agreed before additional paid work begins.

Downloadable .HPT Files and Digital Delivery

Downloadable .HPT files are delivered through Shopify's digital-delivery process. A downloadable-only purchase does not include a customer Tune Portal project, welcome email, portal token, access-code email, datalog review, custom modification support, or revisions.

Digital delivery is complete when the download link or file is made available through the checkout email, order-status page, account, or digital-delivery system. You are responsible for using the correct email address, checking spam or filtered folders, downloading the file, and retaining a backup.

Open your own current vehicle file as the primary file and the purchased .HPT as the Compare file. Review compatibility and copy only applicable differences. Do not blindly full-write a file from another vehicle, controller, operating system, or hardware combination.

Turnaround and Communication

Normal Revision 1 turnaround is 24–72 business hours after we receive your stock read file, with delivery guaranteed no later than 72 business hours after receipt. Normal business hours are Monday–Friday, excluding holidays; weekends do not count toward normal turnaround. Paid Faster Turnaround has separate same-business-day terms, including Friday.

Faster Turnaround is a separately priced option for eligible Full Custom Remote Tune orders. It is not included with Base Tune or Basic delete services. Faster Turnaround guarantees Revision 1 by the end of the same business day when we receive your stock read file during normal business hours, Monday–Friday. Friday is included; depending on workload, delivery may be as late as midnight Eastern that Friday. Stock reads received on a weekend, holiday, or outside normal business hours begin processing the next business day.

There is no guaranteed completion date for the entire tuning process or turnaround time for later revisions. After Revision 1, progress depends on vehicle condition, installed parts, mechanical or installation issues, tuning equipment, and the quality of the logs and feedback. It also depends on when you have time to record logs and upload them, and when JRJ receives those files. Logs and follow-up requests enter the queue and are handled in the order received. Each submission needs time for review and any adjustments included with your service. If we are waiting on logs, answers, parts or repairs, the next step must wait. Receiving a log does not start another guaranteed turnaround period.

The Revision 1 guarantee applies only to delivery of the initial file after JRJ receives your stock read. It does not guarantee a completion date for the entire tuning process or a deadline for later revisions. Contact JRJ through the Tune Portal if the promised initial delivery is missed; it will be reviewed as a service issue.

Customer Responsibilities

• Complete and mechanically verify the vehicle before tuning.
• Disclose all engine, transmission, fuel, airflow, camshaft, delete hardware, converter, tire, gear, and forced-induction details.
• Maintain a clean original stock read and backups of every file.
• Use stable battery voltage and a reliable computer, cable, and internet connection during reads and writes.
• Read warnings and follow the supported software and hardware instructions.
• Stop and contact us if the vehicle, controller, file, operating system, or instructions do not match what was purchased.

A calibration cannot repair mechanical damage, low oil pressure, weak fuel delivery, exhaust or vacuum leaks, bad sensors, wiring faults, weak grounds, ignition problems, incorrect cam timing, missing hardware, or an unfinished build.

Vehicle Modification and Flashing Risk

Reading, writing, modifying, and operating a vehicle calibration involves risk. Power loss, communication failure, incompatible files, incorrect hardware information, mechanical defects, unsupported changes, or user error can cause a no-start condition, controller recovery requirement, drivability problems, engine or transmission damage, or other loss.

You accept responsibility for the condition and safe operation of the vehicle, the accuracy of information supplied, the installation and compatibility of hardware, and the decision to read, flash, test, or operate the vehicle. Do not operate a vehicle that is unsafe, mechanically unsound, or producing abnormal sounds, pressures, temperatures, fuel trims, knock, or warning indicators.

These limits do not excuse a verified error in our work or a failure to provide the purchased service attributable to J.R. Jones Racing LLC.

Calibration File License and Intellectual Property

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a purchased tune or downloadable file is licensed to the original customer for use with the specific vehicle, controller, or compatible workflow for which it was purchased. The purchase does not transfer ownership of J.R. Jones Racing LLC methods, calibration strategies, templates, documentation, website content, branding, or source materials.

You may not resell, publish, upload to a public library, distribute, sublicense, share, reverse-engineer for redistribution, or use a purchased file to provide competing commercial tuning services. Reasonable private backups for the licensed vehicle are allowed.

Cancellations, Refunds and Payment Disputes

Before manual tuning work begins, you may cancel for a full refund; ordering or uploading a stock read alone does not start work. We generally do not accept refunds once work starts. Requests are handled individually based on the service purchased, the work completed and the circumstances; approval is not automatic. Once Revision 1 is delivered through the Tune Portal, the completed initial work counts as a Base Tune for refund purposes. For ordinary cancellations, $169.99 of the tuning-service payment is non-refundable, capped at the amount paid after discounts. This amount is retained from the existing payment, not charged again. Any request involving the remaining service balance is reviewed individually. This refund valuation does not change the purchased service or included revisions. Vehicle condition, parts, mechanical issues, equipment and logs introduce too many variables to guarantee perfection. Verified JRJ-fault and applicable legal-rights provisions still apply. Downloadable files have separate delivery-based terms.

If the evidence confirms an error in our work, we will address it through an appropriate correction. If a verified JRJ error or failure prevents us from providing the purchased tuning service and cannot be corrected, we will refund the affected tuning-service payment in full. The $169.99 cancellation fee is not deducted from that verified-fault refund. A full refund is not automatic for an ordinary revision or a correctable issue.

This policy is subject to applicable law. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes non-waivable consumer rights, prevents a lawful payment dispute, or restricts an honest customer review. The refund exclusions and tuning fee do not apply where a different remedy is legally required.

Lawful Use and Regulatory Compliance

You are responsible for determining whether a product, modification, calibration, or intended vehicle use is legal in your location and application. You must comply with applicable federal, state, and local emissions, safety, registration, inspection, road-use, competition, and vehicle-modification laws.

J.R. Jones Racing LLC does not authorize unlawful tampering with required emissions-control systems or operation of a noncompliant vehicle on public roads. We may refuse a request that appears unsafe, incompatible, misleading, or unlawful.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Every vehicle and combination is different. Vehicle condition, parts, installation, mechanical issues, tuning equipment, fuel, sensors and the accuracy of the logs and information supplied all affect results. With so many variables, perfection or a specific horsepower, idle, fuel-economy, drivability or reliability result cannot be guaranteed. Remote tuning cannot replace an in-person mechanical inspection or repair. JRJ works carefully within the purchased service and remains accountable for verified errors in its work.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, files, products, and services are provided without warranties beyond those expressly stated. J.R. Jones Racing LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost use, towing, storage, rental, labor, diagnosis, parts, track fees, or third-party charges arising from use or inability to use a product or service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, J.R. Jones Racing LLC's total liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount paid to J.R. Jones Racing LLC for the product or service giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so the applicable limit will be the greatest limit permitted by law.

These limits do not excuse a verified error in our work or a failure to provide the purchased service attributable to J.R. Jones Racing LLC.

Account Access, Changes and General Terms

We may suspend portal access, cancel an order, refuse future service, or restrict website use for fraud, abuse, threats, harassment, file distribution, credential sharing, chargeback abuse, unlawful activity, or material violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms when products, services, laws, or business practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires another result. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce one provision is not a waiver of future enforcement.

Do not continue testing or driving a vehicle that shows signs of a potentially damaging problem.
