Pre-Written Tune Files (Email Delivery)

A “pre-written tune” is a proven tuning approach built around common combinations (stock, bolt-ons, cam) on GM LS and HEMI platforms. It’s for people who want their setup to run right without guessing. You send us your factory read file so we can apply the correct changes to YOUR exact vehicle and send a tuned file back.

What This Is (and Who It’s For)

These tune files are ideal if you have a common setup and you want:

  • Cleaner drivability (better response, smoother power, better overall feel)
  • Cam-friendly behavior (stable idle strategy for the combo the file is built for)
  • Performance improvements that match the mods (headers/intake/cam/supporting mods)
  • A safe starting point that’s been proven on real builds — not a random “one size fits all” file

What You’ll Need

  • Your factory read file (we’ll tell you how to grab it if needed)
  • Supported flashing setup (commonly HP Tuners)
  • A stable battery / charger while reading/flashing (seriously important)
  • Accurate mod list (cam, injectors, MAF/SD, headers, intake, converter, etc.)

Exact Process (Email Tuning)

1) Buy the Tune Choose the product that matches your year/engine/setup.
2) Email Your Read File Email your factory read file to Tunes@jrjonesracing.com with your order number + mod list.
3) We Build Your File We apply the correct adjustments to your file for the selected option and your setup.
4) We Email It Back You’ll receive the tuned file by email with any notes needed for flashing/logging.
5) Flash + Drive Flash the file and drive it. Some combos may need follow-up adjustments.
6) Revisions (If Needed) Each tune includes 3 revisions. If logs/adjustments are needed, we’ll guide you.
We’ll Help If anything comes up or you need extra guidance, we’re happy to help you through it.
Be Accurate Best results come from an accurate mod list and stable voltage while flashing.

Important: tuning results depend on mechanical condition, fuel quality, and the exact build. If something is off mechanically, tuning can’t “tune out” a problem.

Tip: If you’re seeing X7F-type errors, don’t keep hammering “write” attempts — repeated failed writes can make recovery harder.
