This service attempts to remove supported legacy HPT project-file protection so an owned or authorized file can be accessed again. Every file is reviewed individually.

Can you unlock an HPT tune?
JR Jones Racing can attempt authorized recovery on supported legacy protected HPT project files. You must own the file or have explicit permission from its rights holder.
Can every locked HPT file be unlocked?
No. Newer protection, unsupported file versions, damaged projects, or files that cannot be validated may not be recoverable. Successful recovery is not guaranteed.
Can you unlock an HPT tune made by another tuner?
Only when you own the file or have explicit authorization from the rights holder. Unauthorized third-party, stolen, or leaked files are refused.
Does unlocking change the tune?
No. The service attempts file-access recovery. It does not improve, modify, repair, or retune the calibration.
Does the $99.99 unlock include HPT to BIN conversion?
No. HPT tune unlocking and HPT/BIN conversion are separate products. Purchase conversion separately if the recovered file also needs a supported format change.
Does an HPT file unlock include HP Tuners credits or licensing?
No. The service does not supply credits, alter controller licensing, or bypass HP Tuners licensing requirements. The customer remains responsible for all software, interface, credit, and controller requirements.

After checkout, email the original unmodified protected file to Tunes@jrjonesracing.com and include the Shopify order number.
