They are written for a single owner-operated service: Jason personally builds the supported custom calibrations and customers communicate through one organized portal.
Before checkout
Know the year, make, model, engine, controller or OS when available, camshaft, fuel, transmission, converter/clutch, tire size, gear ratio and complete modification list. Confirm you have supported hardware and the required credits.
After checkout
Use the private portal link attached to the order. Upload the stock read and build details there, download the latest file there and return datalogs and feedback there so the complete revision history stays together.
Normal Revision 1 timing:Normal Revision 1 turnaround is 24–72 business hours after we receive your stock read file, with delivery guaranteed no later than 72 business hours after receipt. Normal business hours are Monday–Friday, excluding holidays; weekends do not count toward normal turnaround. Paid Faster Turnaround has separate same-business-day terms, including Friday.
Paid Faster Turnaround:Faster Turnaround is a separately priced option for eligible Full Custom Remote Tune orders. It is not included with Base Tune or Basic delete services. Faster Turnaround guarantees Revision 1 by the end of the same business day when we receive your stock read file during normal business hours, Monday–Friday. Friday is included; depending on workload, delivery may be as late as midnight Eastern that Friday. Stock reads received on a weekend, holiday, or outside normal business hours begin processing the next business day.

What hardware do I need?
Use HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3 or MPVI4 supported for your vehicle, plus the required vehicle licensing.
Are RTD and TDN devices supported?
No. They are not currently supported, though support may be added in the future.
Can I purchase an MPVI4 with my tune?
Yes. Select it at the bottom of the tune builder; vehicle credits remain separate.
What is a stock read?
It is the calibration read from the controller currently installed in your vehicle before J.R. Jones Racing LLC changes it.
Where do I send my stock read?
Upload it through the private Tune Portal attached to the order.
What vehicle information is required?
Year, make, model, VIN, engine, controller/OS when known, transmission, fuel, camshaft and every modification.
How fast is the first tune normally completed?
Normal Revision 1 turnaround is 24–72 business hours after we receive your stock read file, with delivery guaranteed no later than 72 business hours after receipt. How do revisions work?
Flash the delivered file, follow the requested log/test procedure, upload the datalog and feedback, then download the newest revision from the portal.
What does Base Tune include?
Base Tune — Two Revisions is $169.99 and covers startup, idle, and initial drivability with two revisions, within the product’s supported scope.
What does Custom Remote Tune include?
Full Custom Remote Tune is built from your vehicle’s stock read and includes datalog review and up to five revisions for the supported build.
How many revisions are included?
Full Custom Remote Tune includes up to five revisions. Base Tune includes two revisions. Revision 1 is the initial tune file delivered through your private Tune Portal. Further revision support is limited to the revisions included with your purchased service.
When are log revisions returned?
There is no guaranteed completion date for the entire tuning process or turnaround time for later revisions. After Revision 1, progress depends on vehicle condition, installed parts, mechanical or installation issues, tuning equipment, and the quality of the logs and feedback. It also depends on when you have time to record logs and upload them, and when JRJ receives those files. Logs and follow-up requests enter the queue and are handled in the order received. Each submission needs time for review and any adjustments included with your service. If we are waiting on logs, answers, parts or repairs, the next step must wait. Receiving a log does not start another guaranteed turnaround period.
Does Faster Turnaround include Friday?
Faster Turnaround is a separately priced option for eligible Full Custom Remote Tune orders. It is not included with Base Tune or Basic delete services. Can I cancel my remote tuning service?
You may cancel for a full refund before JRJ begins the individual manual review of your stock read for tuning, or starts preparing or modifying your tune. Ordering or uploading alone does not start work. Once manual tuning work starts, we generally do not accept refunds. Requests are reviewed individually based on the service purchased, the work completed and the circumstances; review does not guarantee approval. Mechanical, installation and other issues outside JRJ’s work do not automatically make completed work refundable. Once Revision 1 has been delivered to you through your private Tune Portal, that completed initial work counts as a Base Tune for refund purposes. For ordinary cancellations, the $169.99 Base Tune portion of your tuning-service payment is non-refundable, capped at the amount paid after discounts. This is retained from your existing payment, not charged again. Any request involving the remaining service balance is reviewed individually and is not automatically approved. This refund valuation does not change the revision allowance of the service purchased. Verified JRJ-fault and applicable legal-rights provisions below still apply. Does a downloadable file include revisions?
No. It is an exact-match Compare and Copy reference.
Can I flash a complete file from another vehicle?
Do not do so merely because the engine looks similar. Compare the required tables and segments only when product instructions and compatibility support that workflow.
Are credits included with a tune?
Credits are separate unless explicitly stated.
Should I use a battery charger?
Use appropriate stable battery support during reads and flashes so voltage does not collapse.
Can tuning fix a mechanical misfire?
No. Diagnose and repair mechanical, ignition, fuel, wiring and sensor faults first.
What if I have a vacuum or exhaust leak?
Repair it before logging; leaks can distort airflow, oxygen-sensor data and drivability.
Do I need the exact cam card?
Yes, whenever possible. A stage or nickname is not a complete calibration specification.
What if my vehicle is missing from the builder?
Do not force another product. Contact Jason with the VIN, engine, controller and complete build details.
Where are tune files delivered?
Custom/Base files and revisions remain in the Tune Portal; instant digital products are delivered through Shopify’s order experience.
Are tuning results guaranteed?
Every vehicle and combination is different. Vehicle condition, parts, installation, mechanical issues, tuning equipment, fuel, sensors and the accuracy of the logs and information supplied all affect results. With so many variables, perfection or a specific horsepower, idle, fuel-economy, drivability or reliability result cannot be guaranteed. Remote tuning cannot replace an in-person mechanical inspection or repair. JRJ works carefully within the purchased service and remains accountable for verified errors in its work.

J.R. Jones Racing LLC is owner-operated, and Jason Jones personally builds the supported custom calibrations.
