Extracts the raw binary calibration from a supported HP Tuners HPT project container.

  • Useful for WinOLS, TunerPro, hex editors, checksum tools, archival work, and tune-library software.
  • The output is the supported binary data contained by the source HPT project.
  • Conversion does not improve, repair, unlock, or retune the calibration.

BIN to HPT

Places a supported binary calibration back into its matching original HPT project container where the file structure permits.

  • Normally requires the matching original HPT file from the same controller and operating system.
  • A random donor HPT file is not a guaranteed substitute for the matching original container.
  • Compatibility, checksum repair, metadata repair, and tune changes are not included.

This page is only for HPT/BIN format conversion. Other file operations require a separate service or an approved quote.

Not Included

  • Tuning changes, datalogs, revisions, flashing support, or Tune Portal access.
  • Unlocking, checksum correction, compatibility repair, metadata repair, or donor-file construction.
  • A promise that an unsupported or mismatched file can be converted.

File Safety

  • Keep untouched backups of every source and destination file.
  • Verify controller, OS, VIN data, checksums, licensing, and intended use before flashing.
  • Do not flash a file merely because its extension changed successfully.

Is the HPT tune locked?

Conversion does not remove HPT file protection. If you own the protected file or have explicit authorization, use the separate legacy HPT tune unlock service.

How much does HPT to BIN conversion cost?

The service is $19.99 per source file. Set cart quantity to the number of files you are submitting.

Does HPT to BIN conversion change the tune?

No. It extracts supported binary data from the HPT container. It does not improve, edit, repair, unlock, or retune the calibration.

What is required for BIN to HPT conversion?

BIN to HPT normally requires the BIN plus the matching original HPT project from the same controller and operating system. Unsupported or mismatched files may not be convertible.

Can the conversion service unlock a protected HPT tune?

No. File conversion and HPT tune unlocking are separate operations and separate products.

Where do I send the files?

After checkout, email the source files to Tunes@jrjonesracing.com and include the Shopify order number. The filename entered on the product page helps match the file to the order.

Does this include Tune Portal access?

No. HPT/BIN conversion is a manual file service and does not include remote tuning, datalogs, revisions, or Tune Portal access.
