Why this page exists

A Corvette cam tune should never be chosen by chassis alone

Engine generation, controller, transmission, cam specs, airflow, injectors, fuel, exhaust, and forced induction determine the calibration. This page routes those details to real products instead of one generic Corvette button.

C5 / Gen III

LS1 and LS6 combinations with exact controller, injector, MAF, camshaft, transmission, and rear-gear information.

C6 / Gen IV

LS2, LS3, LS7 and supported boosted combinations with cam, airflow, fuel, clutch or converter, and torque-management details.

C7 / Gen V

LT1 and supported LT4 combinations with direct injection, fuel-system, airflow, cylinder-deactivation, and torque-model requirements.

Corvette calibration guide

C5, C6 and C7 cam tunes require vehicle-specific data.

Corvette engines share familiar LS and LT names with other GM vehicles, but chassis, controller, operating system, transmission, torque model, airflow, exhaust and fuel-system differences make cross-platform file copying a poor compatibility test. A safe order starts with the exact Corvette, engine, controller and stock read.

PlatformCommon enginesCritical order details
C5Gen IIILS1, LS6PCM/OS, MAF, injectors, cam card, transmission, clutch/converter and gearing
C6Gen IVLS2, LS3, LS7Engine/controller, VVT where applicable, airflow, fuel, transmission and cam hardware
C7Gen VLT1, LT4Direct-injection fuel system, AFM/VVT state, torque model, airflow and security support

Naturally aspirated builds

Include the exact camshaft, compression changes, cylinder heads, intake manifold, throttle body, MAF/MAP configuration, injectors, fuel type, headers, exhaust, clutch or converter and rear gear. The same cam behaves differently across engine sizes and supporting hardware.

Supercharged builds

LT4, centrifugal, positive-displacement and other boosted combinations require complete compressor, pulley/boost, intercooler, injector and fuel-system details. Unless an exact product states otherwise, use the Custom Remote Tune path with datalog review.

Why Camaro and Corvette products remain separated

Shared engines do not guarantee shared vehicle segments or calibration strategy. The product hub keeps platform-specific tune products visible while placing universal physical camshaft or hardware products in their own category. Search and filter the hub, then confirm the product’s stated vehicle and controller requirements before checkout.

Select the vehicle and camshaft, choose the tune type, then add only the modifications supported by that path.

Tuning device required: You must have an HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3, or MPVI4, or an EFI Live device supported for your vehicle. J.R. Jones Racing LLC does not currently support RTD or TDN devices. RTD/TDN support is planned for the future. Check device requirements. Need an interface? You can add an HP Tuners MPVI4 to your tune at the bottom of this builder if you would like to purchase one through J.R. Jones Racing LLC. Vehicle credits are sold separately.

Questions specific to this page.

Every structured answer below is also visible to customers. No hidden FAQ content is added for search engines.

What Corvette generations are covered?

The page organizes supported C5, C6 and C7 combinations, but the builder and product requirements determine exact year, engine and controller support.

Can a Camaro tune be used in a Corvette with the same engine?

Do not assume compatibility. Chassis, controller, OS, transmission and calibration segments can differ.

What is required for a cammed Corvette?

Provide the stock read, exact cam, engine/controller, transmission, clutch or converter, injectors, fuel, airflow, exhaust, rear gear, tire size and boost details.

Do you support supercharged Corvettes?

Supported boosted combinations use Custom Remote Tune unless an exact product explicitly names the same hardware.

Is an LS7 tune the same as an LS3 tune?

No. Engine, airflow, fuel and operating-system requirements differ.

Do I need HP Tuners hardware?

Use MPVI2, MPVI3 or MPVI4, or specifically supported EFI Live hardware, with the required licensing.

Will a tune fix mechanical valvetrain noise?

No. Mechanical, oiling, exhaust and sensor problems must be diagnosed and repaired first.

How are products grouped?

Remote tunes, downloadable files, camshafts/kits and supporting parts are organized separately so their purpose is clear.
