How Bench Tuning / Mail-In Tuning works

Bench tuning describes the work on your PCM outside the vehicle. Mail-in tuning describes how you send that PCM to JRJ. They are the same service here: choose your vehicle and hardware, buy the supported tune online, then ship your controller using the instructions provided after payment.

  1. Build your Bench / Mail-In Tune

    Select the year, make, model, engine, P01 or P59 controller, cam, transmission and drivetrain. Add the modifications installed on your vehicle. For a swap, select the engine and PCM donor vehicle and describe the destination vehicle in your build notes.

  2. Review the price and pay online

    Your Bench / Mail-In Tuning total starts at $299 plus selected paid cam and modification add-ons. Review the details before continuing to Shopify checkout. Outside the 50 U.S. states, return postage is billed separately before your PCM is shipped back.

  3. Pack and send your PCM

    After payment, use the receiving address and packing instructions supplied with your paid order. You pay the shipping cost to JRJ. Keep the shipping tracking information with your order.

  4. Your PCM is bench tuned and returned

    We tune the supplied P01 or P59 for the build details in your order. 3-day turnaround after your PCM arrives at JRJ. Shipping transit time is separate. You pay shipping to JRJ. Return postage is included for all 50 U.S. states. Outside the 50 states, return postage is billed separately before return shipment. Send your existing controller; a replacement PCM is not included.

Vehicles supported for Bench Tuning / Mail-In Tuning

JRJ supports the P01 and P59 controller families for this service, across selected Gen III GM 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L and 6.0L applications. The dedicated Bench / Mail-In builder checks the exact year, model and engine against the supported catalog. You must still confirm the actual PCM.

GM trucks, SUVs and vans

The builder includes supported Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban and Express combinations, along with GMC Sierra, Yukon and Savana applications. Pick the exact year and engine to see the available options.

Supported LS car applications

Selected Camaro, Firebird, Corvette, GTO and CTS-V combinations are included where they match the supported controller family. Use the exact year and engine in the builder; these model names do not mean every year is supported.

Confirm P01 or P59 before buying or shipping. The original 1997–1998 LS1 controller is not included. A 2007 Silverado or Sierra must be the supported Classic body style with P01 or P59. Other controllers are outside this service.

Tell us what is actually installed

Select your cam and applicable modifications such as long-tube headers, injectors, gear ratio, tire size and torque converter. Stock / short-tube headers are included. Use the build notes for injector part numbers, fuel and other details. Notes do not add services you have not selected.

VATS delete is an optional, free selection for builds that need the factory vehicle anti-theft check disabled in the PCM. Leave it unchecked if it is not needed. Your selections and build details travel with the order.

Bench Tuning / Mail-In Tuning

You ship your supported P01 or P59 to JRJ, and we work on the physical controller. Use this builder to describe the vehicle, cam and modifications for that PCM. The $299 starting price is for tuning your supplied controller, plus any selected paid add-ons.

Full Custom Remote Tune

The remote route uses your stock read and datalogs, with tune-file delivery and supported revisions through the customer portal. Review the remote service and equipment requirements if that is the tuning process you need.

What if I do not know which PCM I have?

That is okay. You can choose “I don’t know yet” while reviewing the builder. You must confirm the actual P01 or P59 before purchasing or shipping. The year, make and model are a starting point, not proof of the controller installed.

How much does Bench Tuning / Mail-In Tuning cost?

The service starts at $299 USD. Selected paid cam and modification add-ons increase the total. Optional VATS delete is free. You pay shipping to JRJ. Return postage is included for all 50 U.S. states. Outside the 50 states, return postage is billed separately before return shipment. Any applicable tax is shown before payment.

Are Bench Tuning and Mail-In Tuning the same service?

Yes. You mail your supported P01 or P59 PCM to JRJ, and we tune it on the bench outside the vehicle. Use the Bench / Mail-In builder to select your vehicle, cam and modifications, then purchase the service online when ordering is open.

When do I receive the shipping address?

The receiving address and packing instructions are emailed after checkout once payment is complete. Follow those paid-order instructions before sending the PCM.

Can I request VATS delete for an LS swap?

Yes. Optional VATS delete is included at no extra charge for supported P01 / P59 builds. Select it only when your build needs it, and include the donor and destination vehicle details for a swap.

Does the price include a PCM?

No. This service tunes the supported P01 or P59 you send to JRJ. A replacement controller is not included. Confirm your actual controller and build details before ordering.

What is the turnaround time for Bench Tuning?

Can I order from outside the United States?
