Sloppy Mechanics Stage 3 Cam Tune File
This is a pre-written performance tune file built for Gen III and Gen IV GM LS cars and trucks running a Sloppy Mechanics Stage 3 camshaft or similar aggressive cam setup. This calibration is designed for real cammed LS drivability — stronger idle control, better throttle response, corrected fueling, proper airflow modeling, and a hard-hitting 450HP-style street setup.
This is not a random pulled file. Your tune is built around your factory read file, operating system, engine, transmission, injector data, cam setup, and full modification list.
Big Cam LS Tune Built for Real Street Driving
The Sloppy Mechanics Stage 3 cam can make strong power, but it needs the tune handled correctly. Stock-style calibrations usually struggle with idle surge, stalling, bucking, dead pedal feel, poor cold starts, incorrect airflow, and fuel trims that are all over the place.
- Built for Gen III and Gen IV GM LS platforms
- Designed around Sloppy Mechanics Stage 3 camshaft setups
- Corrects idle airflow, spark, fueling, throttle response, and drivability
- Supports common bolt-ons like headers, cold air intake, exhaust, and intake manifold upgrades
- Built from your actual factory read file — not a one-size-fits-all upload
- Available for HP Tuners and EFI Live users

⚠️ Performance & Build Responsibility Notice
This is not a stock tune. This is a performance calibration designed for modified vehicles running a camshaft and supporting parts.
You are responsible for making sure your build quality is up to par before flashing or running this tune. Your engine, valvetrain, fuel system, drivetrain, wiring, sensors, injectors, exhaust, and all supporting parts must be correctly installed, mechanically sound, and capable of handling increased performance.
Poor installation, worn parts, incorrect valve spring setup, wrong pushrod length, weak fuel supply, vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, bad sensors, or unsafe mechanical condition can cause drivability issues or engine damage that no tune can fix.
J.R. Jones Automotive & Performance is not liable for engine failure, drivetrain damage, PCM/ECU damage, or any issue caused by poor build quality, improper installation, unsafe flashing practices, incorrect customer-supplied information, or misuse of this tune.
⚠️ Flashing Safety Notice
Always flash using a hard-wired USB connection. Do not flash over weak connections, unstable power, or while the vehicle battery is low.
Use a battery charger or maintainer during the write process. Do not interrupt the flash once writing has started.
Customer is responsible for having the proper tuning hardware, software, licensing, and stable equipment needed to read and flash the vehicle.
Need More Than a Pre-Written File?
If your setup has injectors, boost, nitrous, converter changes, gear/tire changes, engine swap details, or anything beyond a basic cammed LS build, use the Build Your Tune page so we can match the calibration to your exact vehicle.
