About This Product

A remote tuning service for a supported vehicle retaining its original stock cam. Jason handles tuning within the purchased setup, with up to five total delivered revisions. Supported modification add-ons are priced separately.

Use your private Tune Portal to confirm the vehicle and upload its original read file. An OEM cam moved from another engine uses the OEM cam-swap service instead.

Your private portal is used to:

Standard Turnaround

Normal Revision 1 turnaround is 24–72 business hours after we receive your stock read file, with delivery guaranteed no later than 72 business hours after receipt. There is no guaranteed completion date for the entire tuning process or turnaround time for later revisions. After Revision 1, progress depends on vehicle condition, installed parts, mechanical or installation issues, tuning equipment, and the quality of the logs and feedback. It also depends on when you have time to record logs and upload them, and when JRJ receives those files. Logs and follow-up requests enter the queue and are handled in the order received. Each submission needs time for review and any adjustments included with your service. If we are waiting on logs, answers, parts or repairs, the next step must wait. Receiving a log does not start another guaranteed turnaround period.

Normal business hours are Monday–Friday, excluding holidays; weekends do not count toward normal turnaround. Paid Faster Turnaround has separate same-business-day terms, including Friday.

Faster Turnaround Option

Purchasing Faster Turnaround guarantees Revision 1 delivery by the end of the same business day when we receive your stock read file during normal business hours, Monday–Friday. Friday is included; depending on workload, delivery may be as late as midnight Eastern that Friday. Stock reads received on a weekend, holiday, or outside normal business hours begin processing the next business day.

Orders submitted after business hours may begin processing the next business day.

Important

Remote tuning is a process.

Your first revision is intended to verify vehicle information, establish a safe baseline, improve startup and idle quality, and confirm modifications.

Additional revisions, customer feedback, and data logs may be required to fully dial in drivability and performance.

Check your equipment first

You'll need an HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3 or MPVI4 supported for your vehicle, a Windows laptop and HP Tuners VCM Suite. JRJ does not currently support RTD or TDN devices.

The tune price does not include HP Tuners licensing credits. Hardware is separate unless you select a hardware option.

Enter your vehicle and modifications

Use the builder to select the vehicle, engine, cam, transmission and modifications. You can save your choices and come back before buying.

What if my engine is swapped?

Choose Swap Tune only when the engine and its computer (PCM) are from a different generation than the vehicle originally used. A same-generation replacement, such as a 2007 engine in a 2008 Silverado, does not count. Select the donor engine's year, make and model first, then enter the vehicle it is going into.

Follow the instructions after purchase

Full Remote and Base Tune: follow the order instructions to use the tuning portal and send your original read and build details. Full Remote tuning also includes datalog review within the service's revision allowance.

Downloadable file: follow the delivery instructions and review the file against your own original read in HP Tuners. Confirm compatibility before copying applicable changes.

What do these tuning terms mean?

Original read: The tune read from your vehicle's controller before making changes.
Datalog: A recording of how the engine and vehicle are operating, collected with VCM Scanner.
Revision: An update to your tune following the service's review process.

After payment is confirmed, open your portal to continue the tuning process. If you do not have portal access for this tune yet, a portal link is created and sent to you. Existing portal links and tune history remain available.
