Custom Tune Files are precision-built performance calibrations designed for your exact vehicle setup — not generic “off-the-shelf” tunes. Every tune is hand-crafted by J.R. Jones Racing & Performance in Wilmington, NC for maximum performance, drivability, and reliability.

What Is a Custom Tune File?

A Custom Tune File optimizes your engine’s fuel, spark, and transmission parameters for your exact combination of upgrades. Whether you’re running a Chopacabra cam kit, headers, bolt-ons, or a fully built setup, we calibrate each tune using real-world dyno and street data for smooth idle, factory-like drivability, and peak performance.

What Vehicles Can Be Tuned?

We support a wide range of vehicles. Not every vehicle listed has a tune available, but if it’s on the list, it’s worth emailing us at tunes@jrjonesracing.com or using the chat feature on the site. For a full list of supported vehicles, visit our Supported Vehicles Tab.

HP Tuners is Required

All of our custom tune files require HP Tuners software to read your stock file and apply the custom calibration. We do not support other tuning platforms.

How Does the Process Work?

  1. 📂 Read your stock file using HP Tuners.
  2. 📧 Email your stock file and mod list to tunes@jrjonesracing.com.
  3. 🧰 We’ll build your custom tune file around your setup.
  4. 📨 Receive your finished tune within 24 hours.

Is It Safe to Flash My ECU?

Flashing your PCM/ECU is safe when performed correctly. Follow these guidelines:

  • ⚙️ Always use a hard-wired connection.
  • 🔋 Keep a battery charger connected during flashing.
  • 🚫 Never interrupt the process once it begins.
